How we use your details

Inspector Play Ltd (company number 14171107) is responsible for the details you share through this website. Our registered office is Scholes Mill, Old Coach Road, Tansley, Matlock, Derbyshire, United Kingdom, DE4 5ND. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). ICO registration number: ZC267853.

What we collect

What you type into the form: your name, email address, organisation, role and message.

When you send the form, a spam check called Cloudflare Turnstile makes sure you’re a person and not a bot. To do this, Cloudflare looks at technical details such as your IP address, your browser type (its “user agent”), a technical fingerprint of your browser’s secure connection, and which website the check is on. Cloudflare says it can’t identify you from these details.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry. We need your details to do that, because you’ve asked us to get back to you (our legal basis is taking steps at your request, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries).

We only send you occasional updates if you tick that box. That is based on your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

We run the spam check because we have a legitimate interest in protecting our contact form, and our inbox, from spam and abuse.

Who helps us

Resend delivers the form to our inbox, and our email is hosted by Microsoft. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that messages come from real people, not spam bots. Cloudflare uses this information to run the check for us. It also uses it, under its own responsibility, to improve its bot detection. We never sell your details or share them for anyone else’s use.

Resend and Cloudflare are US companies. Resend stores the emails it delivers for us in the US. Cloudflare runs its spam check on its worldwide network, which includes the US. Both are signed up to the UK–US data bridge, and their contracts with us also include contract terms approved for UK transfers. Our Microsoft email inbox is stored in the UK. Email us if you’d like the details.

How long we keep it

We keep messages sent through this form in our inbox for 2 years, then delete them. If you asked for updates, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your details, or ask us to correct or delete them, by emailing natalie@inspectorplay.com or pdat@inspectorplay.com, or using the form above. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled them, see complaints below.
