Our Aims

Why

Early years and school settings are incredibly busy places with relentless curriculum and staffing pressures. However, we need to ask ourselves: ‘are we doing enough to ensure young children are getting enough positive physical activity and movement experiences?’

Who

Inspector Play is a fun character who wants to support you to challenge your movement culture, ask questions and provoke change.

What

We are currently researching and piloting tools to support settings and organisations to understand, track and respond to every child's level of activity – including our 10in60 programme.

How

An approach that puts the emphasis on short, regular active play, movement and learning opportunities (breaking up sedentary behaviour) - along with a wearable that records the volume and intensity of children's movements.

Together by valuing physically healthy lives for young children now, we will change their future and the world we live in.
